Solar Energy Feasibility Study for the Town of Ridgely, MD

Description:Before, VW Energy executed the final Power Purchase Agreement with the City of Ridgely MD to provide solar powered electricity to the Town for a period of 20-years; they contacted our firm to provide a feasibility study of all of the suitable Town facilities for solar energy implementation.  Our final analysis confirmed the Town’s Wastewater Treatment Plant as the most economically and technically feasible municipal location for the solar project.

Project Implementation Plan for CRE’s 4MW Solar Project

Description:Chesapeake Renewable Energy LLC developed a 4MW AC PV Solar Project in Somerset, MD and contracted Alpha Energy as consultant and Project Manager.  The solar site consists of approximately 35 acres of a 252 acre site being developed by CRE as a renewable energy facility within 500ft of an existing Choptank Electric Cooperative substation. The site is in Somerset County, Maryland, 3.5 miles to the northwest of Pocomoke City.  Alpha Energy provided ongoing Project Management and complied the Comprehensive  Solar Project Plan.

Project Implementation Plan for Riggs Road Solar 10MW Solar Project

Description:Riggs Road Solar LLC (RRS) is developing a 10MW AC PV Solar Project in Montgomery, MD and is utilizing Alpha Energy, LLC as consultant and Project Manager.  The solar site consists of approximately 60 acres within 5500ft of an existing PEPCO substation. The site is in Montgomery County Maryland, 3.5 miles to the northwest of Gaithersburg. Alpha Energy provided ongoing Project Management and development services and the “Solar Project Plan”.

Solar Power Canopy Feasibility Study, Forestville Mall Maryland

Description:Petrie Ross Ventures were interested in developing a 950kW PV Solar Project at the Forestville Mall.  The site consists of a dedicated roof and parking area at a shopping mall in Forestville, MD, a suburb of Washington, DC. Alpha Energy entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Petrie Ross to assess the feasibility of developing rooftop and parking canopy solar energy at the site.

Preliminary Wind Energy Feasibility Study for the Currituck Peninsula, NC

Description:Alpha Energy was hired as a consultant to provide a preliminary feasibility study for the Currituck County area of eastern North Carolina.
